Contemporary artist Balam Soto creates mixed media paintings,
murals and installations in a unique style of Modern Art. He utilizes
both traditional mediums and digital technologies in his creations.
Balam has exhibited his artwork in numerous Þne art exhibitions.
Upcoming exhibits include a solo exhibition at The New School
University in New York City and a group exhibit in Cameroon, West
Africa. He has directed several mural projects in the Hartford area
including three murals that were commissioned by the city of Hartford.
His vibrant, colorful paintings have been featured on magazine covers
and are on permanent display at several public and private institutions
including the Connecticut Historical Society Museum and other city
of Hartford buildings.
A passionate advocate of bringing art to every sector in the public,
Balam organizes and curates two popular annual exhibitions as
community events in Hartford; he also lectures and teaches
students about his unique style of art in workshops and classes.
He is the owner of Balam Soto Studio to which he dedicates
